Chemistry buff melds all the right elements for bestseller

A Sioux Falls man has turned to an old friend from chemistry class to write his way onto the New York Times bestseller list. Sam Kean, a 1997 graduate of O’Gorman High School, is author of “The Disappearing Spoon,” a look at the periodic table of elements.
