Fraunhofer USA Center for Molecular Biotechnology awarded NIH contract for “Vaccine Technologies to Advance Next …
NEWARK, Del.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Fraunhofer Center for Molecular Biotechnology (FhCMB) announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health, for developing vaccine technologies to advance the next generation of Anthrax vaccines. For the first year, Fraunhofer will receive $1.76 million. The total funding could be up to $ 9.9 million depending on contract options exercised. Continue reading

Paralympics highlight 'Best of British' medical technology
British expertise in ground-breaking medical technology was in the spotlight on Monday at a business summit marking the London Paralympics. Testimony links needle to Clemens DNA
A needle stored with a beer can appeared to contain an extremely tiny amount of Roger Clemens DNA, which turned out to be good news and bad news for both sides in the perjury trial of the seven-time Cy Young Award winner. A forensic scientist on Friday linked Clemens to cotton balls and a syringe needle saved from an alleged steroids injection 11 years ago.
